Over the past few years our healthcare delivery system has placed increased emphasis on the ability for healthcare providers to deliver the triple aim: better care, better health, and lower costs. URAC will present its perspective on recent developments in health care and its response to developing programs that promote the goals of the triple aim.
URAC, an independent, nonprofit organization, is a well-known leader in promoting healthcare quality through its accreditation, education, and measurement programs. URAC offers a wide range of quality benchmarking programs and services that model the rapid changes in the healthcare system and provide a symbol of excellence for organizations to validate their commitment to quality and accountability. Through its broad-based governance structure and an inclusive standards development process, URAC ensures that all stakeholders are represented in establishing meaningful quality measures for the entire healthcare industry.
William R. Vandervennet, Jr.

Mr. Vandervennet has served as the URAC Chief Operating Officer since June 2012. He is responsible for the accreditation service operations, corporate support, sales and marketing. Bill brings a focus on providing value to the customers while striving to build and grow the URAC accreditation business. He has led efforts to develop new accreditation services to help providers develop clinical integration capabilities. The URAC services for providers offer a continuum of accreditation from patient centered medical home to clinical integration and accountable care. URAC’s portfolio of accreditation services includes over 30 accreditation programs with comprehensive standards and quality measurement.
Bill Vandervennet is an energetic leader that enhances business results by building teams and motivating people to grow sales and continuously improve operating results. He has worked in the healthcare industry throughout his career developing and leading innovative health programs for private and public-sector clients. He has held executive level positions since 1995 with companies such as WellPoint, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and MAXIMUS.
Committed to continuous learning, he has a fellowship with the American College of Healthcare Executives, a Masters of Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University.
