WEDI NPIOI Audio Cast:
Tricks to Effective Use of the NPPES Data File
& NPI Registry Treats

FORMAT:
This 90 minute audio cast will include insightful presentations by expert speakers regarding the tricks to getting to the NPI data treats, by either using the NPI Registry or using the NPI Downloadable files.
About one-half of the audio cast is allotted for answers to caller questions, giving the audience an opportunity to ask the speakers specific questions regarding NPI Data Dissemination, their insights and experiences.
WHAT WILL BE COVERED:
The audio cast will provide overviews on the following topics:
The NPI Registry: Speakers will share their experiences using the NPI registry to look-up NPIs one by one (Type 1 and Type 2 NPIs), and will share some of the practices organizations are putting in place to verify that the NPI returned by the registry is the NPI needed by the entity.
Data Matching Primer: Attendees will learn how the pros work with large disparate databases and match records as well as keep them current with future files.
Experiences with the NPPES Downloadable File: Speakers will provide results from early analysis of the file including technical problems and data integrity issues. The speakers will provide insight based on their experiences with the data and dispel some emerging myths about the database.
NPI Process Changes: Listeners will learn how speakers are using the data from NPPES and how internal process changes might make optimal use of the NPPES data availability.
