HIPAA Readiness Workshop for Rural Physicians and Health Care Providers Hosted in Mitchell, SD and North Platte, NE
CMS recognizes the importance of reaching out to rural physicians, health care providers, and their software vendors to increase their awareness of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) Administrative Simplification requirements.
CMS hosted two regional trainings, Health Care Provider HIPAA Readiness Workshop designed for the Rural Health Care Provider. These were full-day FREE seminars. The first workshop was held in Mitchell, SD on December 10, 2002 and the second was held on January 23, 2003 in North Platte, NE. Below are conference materials from these seminars.
