| CMS & WEDI Present “HIPAA Security Solutions & Beyond”, Coming to St. Thomas! |

CMS’ New York Regional Office is on a mission for Security education throughout St. Thomas, USVI and they are partnering with WEDI to facilitate the programs. The objective is to reach as many providers and health plans as they can and educate them on the Security Rule, and offer examples of security threats to look for, among other issues. The intended audience for this program is providers and health plans, but all interested parties are invited.
Please join us Thursday, December 2, 2004, at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital in St. Thomas, USVI as CMS and WEDI faculty discuss the HIPAA Security Rule and what it means to providers in the US Virgin Islands.
WEDI will use it’s nationally known faculty, in addition to CMS expertise, at the one-day program. WEDI is working with it’s official Regional SNIP Affiliates to secure a venue that will appeal to the regions. The St. Thomas, USVI program will be presented at a 101+ level.
Registration for the one-day event, which includes all meals and an attendee binder with the speaker’s materials plus additional takeaway tools and resources, is only $35.00/ person. WEDI, not CMS, is charging a registration fee. The registration fee being charged by WEDI is to offset the costs related to the event.
WEDI will also offer a limited number of sponsorships at this venue. This venue will be a great opportunity for any vendor with a HIPAA Security interest, as the programs will be addressing implementation of the Security Rule. The fees collected for the sponsorships will be used to cover WEDI expenses only. CMS does not endorse any vendor exhibitors.
