In her role as the EDI Regulatory Compliance Administrator for Tampa General Hospital, Gale has been responsible for HIPAA EDI development at Tampa General Hospital since January 2003. Highlights of her experience includes seven years as Director of Management Information Systems for a hospital system, thirteen years of healthcare consulting with a focus on revenue cycle improvement and many years of direct operational and system involvement within the hospital Information Technology and Financial areas.
Sidney Hebert is the Director –Integrated Provider Process Solutions and ICD 10 program Manager at Humana, Inc. He is responsible for HIPAA transaction and code set enforcement, Provider Network automation solutions, ICD 10 business transformation and ICD 10 compliance for acquired and joint venture businesses.

Dennis Winkler is the Director of Technical Program Management & ICD-10 program director at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. He is responsible for ICD-10 program direction and is the IT business partner for Medicare Advantage.
Erik Newlin is the VP, EDI Platform and Compliance for Xerox and has nearly 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry and has successfully served in many roles both in the government and private sector. He has established and managed large-scale healthcare projects and is a subject matter expert in innovation, healthcare transformation, procurement, regulations and compliance.
Betty Gomez, Vice President Regulatory Strategy at ZirMed, brings more than 23 years of healthcare industry experience to her leadership of the company’s regulatory strategy efforts, in which she presently focuses on ICD-10 readiness initiatives, solutions, and helping clients prepare for the new code set. Shelagh Kalland is Director, ICD-10 Program Operations and the ICD-10 Project Business Owner at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota. Shelagh has worked in healthcare for over 29 years with a focus on healthcare operations and provider relations.
As ICD-10 program manager, Laura Pazera leads TriZetto Provider Solutions’ ICD-10 team to prepare the company and its provider clients for the ICD-10 transition. She has 19 years of experience in healthcare IT implementing and supporting regulatory initiatives for providers including Loyola University Health System and Cook County Hospital.

Jennifer Wolfe, IT Manager of the Epic Revenue team has been at Park Nicollet Health Services 20 years and spent the first 10 years in the business office working in all aspects of the revenue cycle. John Stanton is an executive level management consultant in the Dell Healthcare Services Group. He specializes in the appropriate integration of processes and technology for revenue cycle management, business analytics / intelligence, and other back-office operations.

Brigid Noonan is responsible for supervising the EDI Solutions department, monitoring daily workflow, and representing the department internally and externally at Trizetto Provider Solutions. She maintains a high level of technical competence while complying with HIPAA regulations and industry changes.
Russell Hamm has worked internationally as an analyst, developer, and project manager with private and public sector institutions to implement health information technology standards. He is an expert in Health Level Seven (HL7) International Clinical Document Architecture (CDA), healthcare terminologies, and terminology services.
Durwin works for the Legislative and Regulatory Implementation Office at Health Care Service Corporation. While at HCSC, he worked on the first Medicare pilot project for Claims Attachments. He is a current co-chair of the HL7 Attachment Workgroup that defines the standards for the clinical content for various attachment types.
Mary Lynn Bushman

Mary Lynn Bushman is a Business Analyst III for National Government Services. She is a former X12 Claim Attachments work group co-chair. Mary Lynn is also one of the WEDI SNIP sub workgroup co-chairs for Claims Attachments and has been an active Health Level Seven (HL7) Attachments Special Interest Group participant since its inception.
Theresa Doris is currently the Sr. Business Solution Consultant in the Health Care vertical at TIBCO Software Solutions. She has a combined 15 years of experience in Health Care EDI and program management. She is the current CAQH Core member and liaison and was the previous chairperson for Trizetto Q-Connect user group.
As Deloitte's key senior advisor on standards and interoperability, Erik works with several federal health agencies, providing expertise on health information exchange and healthcare standards, and serves as the lead for standards and interoperability efforts on the DOD/VA iEHR (Integrated Electronic Health Record) through the Interagency Program Office (IPO).
Utah Health Information Network
Doreen Espinoza is the Chief Business Development and Privacy Officer for the Utah Health Information Network. Her team is responsible for developing administrative and clinical standards for inclusion in the Utah State Billing and Clinical Exchange rules.

Laurie Burckhardt is Manager of the EDI department at WPS. Laurie oversees all components of EDI processes for all WPS’ lines of business which include Commercial, Medicare Part A & B, as well as Tricare.

Gail Kocher joined the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) in 2008 as Director, National Programs. She has accountabilities for Administrative Simplification and supporting the Blues through industry-wide coalitions and standards setting organizations.
Denesecia Green is the ICD-10 program lead with Baltimore-based CMS. Denesecia's 14 years of health care experience spans over a wide variety of CMS programs and policy including Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Program Integrity, Audit, Quality, Public and Population Health, Health IT, Health Insurance Exchanges, and presently ICD-10 implementation and oversight.
Debra Strickland is now with Xerox’s National Standards Consulting Team where she is working closely with clients, customers and those in need of Xerox’s services. Debra is widely considered to be an expert on 835 Payment transactions, 5010 migration, EFT and EDI transitions.
Pam Grosze is Vice President and Senior Product Manager for PNC Bank’s Healthcare Division, which provides financial and revenue cycle management solutions for hospitals, healthcare providers, and other healthcare organizations. Pam has spent more than 25 years in healthcare environments, implementing and supporting healthcare EDI transactions for leading companies, including PNC Bank and RelayHealth.
Michael J. Ubl
Michael Ubl currently operates an independent consulting firm that he established in late 2011. As an independent consultant he has assisted clients on various activities driven by current federal health care reform regulations with a focus on health information exchange, health insurance exchange and ICD-10.

Christol Green is a Sr. Business Consultant within E-Solutions Strategy, Compliance and Consulting at WellPoint, Inc. Ms. Green has 28 years of healthcare experience, and for over 18 years, has been active in implementing and integrating healthcare electronic transactions and HIPAA Administrative Simplification provisions.
Kim Peters is the HIPAA EDI Program Manager – Integrated Provider Process/ICD 10 Implementation Program Team for Humana, Inc. He is responsible for HIPAA transaction and code set enforcement, all compliance issues and review of ongoing Affordable Care legislation for impacts to our varied systems.
Jeff Ziel is the Director, Administrative Simplification Program, Regulatory Implementation Office (RIO), UnitedHealth Group. He is responsible for UnitedHealth Group’s overall business response to regulations and provisions associated with Administrative Simplification.
Carolyn S Besch is the Senior EDI Account Manager and has been with United Healthcare for 30 years with over 10 years of EDI experience. She leads and supports various strategic and regulatory initiatives and was a key contributor in the successful implementation of HIPAA 4010 and 5010.

She is a member of the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) and serves as a Standardization Co-Chair, Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI), Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) X12N and serves as the Chair of the Insurance Subcommittee, and the Designated Standards Maintenance Organizations (DSMO) Chair.
