Survey on Fees for Remittance Advice and Electronic Funds Transfer Transactions

March 15, 2021

WEDI is conducting a survey to gather information on enhanced services and additional fees charged for receiving the electronic remittance advice (ERA) via the X12 835 transaction (subsequently referred to as “835”) and/or payment made via the electronic funds transfer (EFT) via the ACH Network (subsequently referred to as “EFT”). The focus is not on the standard telecommunication or banking fees, but fees above and beyond the usual and customary telecommunication or banking fees.

The information obtained from this survey will be shared with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), which is currently seeking data on this topic to better understand the enhanced services being provided and additional fees associated with the industry’s use of the ERA and EFT transactions.

The survey will remain open through April 2nd. The questions should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. No individual identifiable information is collected in the survey, so responses are completely anonymous. The data being collected is for informational purposes only. We appreciate your feedback.
