WEDI Submits Letter to HHS on No Surprises Act

The No Surprises Act, signed into law as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, was an important step toward increased transparency and removing a significant financial challenge for patients. WEDI has identified an important data exchange issue, the convening provider/facility requirement, that should be expeditiously addressed by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to ensure successful implementation of the legislative provisions of the Act. WEDI has offered our assistance as HHS develops supporting regulations and builds outreach programs to educate impacted stakeholders.
