WEDI Comment Letter on the NCVHS Predictability Roadmap Draft Recommendations

In response to the draft recommendations presented at the September 14, 2018 NCVHS meeting, WEDI held a Policy Advisory Group (PAG) to provide a forum for health care industry stakeholders to convene and discuss in detail the draft recommendations, calls to action and measurements identified by the NCVHS. The outcome of the discussions is a set of recommendations for moving to a more predictable development and adoption process of standards and operating rules, so that Administrative Simplification can be better achieved. The comments were reviewed subsequently and approved by the WEDI Executive Committee on November 27.

Have you ever seen a woman in a leadership role and wondered how they got to their position? What inspired them in their career? Wouldn’t it be great to ask them their opinion on important issues?

WEDI is giving you the opportunity to meet and hear the stories of various women leaders in HIT. Alexandra (Alix) Goss is vice president and senior consultant at Imprado/DynaVet Solutions. She is also a member of the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics and co-chairs the Subcommittee on Standards.

Robin Thomashauer is president of CAQH and has overseen their work with the Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CAQH CORE), CAQH ProView, EnrollHub, and the CAQH Index.

Join us for a conversation with Alix and Robin as we talk about their careers, what motivates them, and their perspectives on HIT’s progress.
  • The WHO Launch of ICD-11 Webinar

    Wednesday, April 24, 2019 (11am - 12pm US/Eastern)

In May of 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) is scheduled to vote on adoption of ICD-11, replacing ICD-10.

ICD-11 will be a major change from ICD-10, with a number of improvements and enhancements including new chapters, restructured chapters and a new overall structure intended to make it more digital-friendly. These changes may present opportunities and challenges in the implementation of ICD-11 standards development organizations and health information technology developers. This session will provide information on some of the major changes between ICD-10 and ICD-11 and identify some areas that may require further exploration to determine what changes may be necessary to accommodate ICD-11 as a replacement for ICD-10-CM.
