Today marks the opening of our annual call for nominations for open seats for the WEDI Board of Directors, effective January 1st, 2027. As leaders, Board members share their viewpoints in a collaborative and collegial environment, helping shape WEDI’s strategy, policies, education, and relationships with government and industry partners. As a member of the Board, you would drive WEDI’s efforts to advance the nation’s health care system through implementation of updated standards, enhanced interoperability, streamlined administrative processes, and improved cyber hygiene.

We are seeking individuals who can bring strategic insight, leadership, and a commitment to WEDI’s goals. Nominations must be sent by the close of business on Friday, September 18, 2025.

The following attributes are highly desirable for potential Board members:

• Commitment to WEDI’s Mission: Active participation in board meetings, committee work, educational events, and outreach efforts. Board members are also expected to advocate for WEDI by promoting membership to non-member organizations.
• Leadership Recognition: Candidates should be recognized leaders in their organizations and within the healthcare community, with experience such as serving on other boards or speaking at industry events.
• Organizational Leadership Experience: Expertise in areas such as marketing, finance, operations, education, membership recruitment, or strategic alliances.
• Collaborative Leadership: Ability to build consensus, foster relationships, and facilitate cooperation with aligned organizations. Board members should engage in strategic discussions and drive visionary initiatives.
• Innovation: Demonstrated ability to start and implement innovative programs within their area of influence.
