The CMS FY2027 IPPS Final Rule modified the CMS Electronic Prior Authorization measure, established in CMS-0057-F, as an optional bonus measure for the electronic health record (EHR) reporting period in Calendar Year (CY) 2027 and mandatory beginning with the EHR reporting period in CY2028.
